Hall Passes
At Lindhurst High School, we use Minga to manage student hall passes and reinforce our PBIS RISE values: Respect, Integrity, Safety, and Engagement.
Students must use the Minga Kiosk to request a pass before leaving the classroom for the restroom, water, or another approved reason. Each student receives two passes per day and is responsible for managing and using them wisely. Staff members may assign additional passes when needed, and students with approved hall-pass accommodations can also use the Minga system.
Minga helps us better support students by reducing classroom disruptions, limiting large gatherings, improving campus safety, and ensuring students are where they need to be. To support these goals, no more than 15 students may be out of class at one time. Pass-usage data may also be reviewed to identify student needs and help inform families.
By using Minga responsibly, students demonstrate Respect, act with Integrity, promote Safety, and remain Engaged in their learning. Every pass is an opportunity to RISE!
