Assistant Principal - Kimo Kupser

My name is Kimo Kupser, and I am the new Assistant Principal at Lindhurst High School. I have been privileged to have just completed my 18th year of teaching History at LHS. As a lifelong Yuba County resident, I owe everything in my existence to the education I received and the career I have built here in Olivehurst. I am a proud graduate of Lindhurst, class of 1998, and have taken that pride everywhere I have gone, while also instilling it in my students; being Blazers for life! My wife of 19 years is also a proud Blazer alumnus, and both of our children are future alumni, as my daughter is entering her senior year and my son will be starting his freshman year in the fall. I am beyond excited about the opportunity to expand beyond the classroom as the newest Assistant Principal here at LHS!
I was lucky enough to have had my life impacted by amazing educators such as Bob Kiser, Bob Smith, and Miles Smith. All of these outstanding educators spent more than 40 years in the classroom. While most retire long before that threshold, these teachers kept going because of their love of this community and the knowledge that our schools are the best, and in some instances, the only way to a better future for our kids. I was one such kid whose life could have turned out very differently if not for these educators. Mr. Kiser encouraged me to get involved in everything: sports, leadership, after-school activities, and eventually coaching every sport alongside him. It was his endless dedication to the kids and the community that has impacted my views on teaching. It is much more than just instruction in a classroom; it is a commitment to give your very best for the kids, and for most of them, it is time. The time that they may not receive at home, they can receive from us, and that time can be structured to do more than just babysit, but to build a better tomorrow for that student. I have been both the Sophomore and Interact club advisor for 17 years, and the Interact club has grown into the largest student volunteer organization in the tri-counties area with a membership of over 100 students. I have been the “Voice of LHS” for 13 years, serving as the football announcer at every game and the announcer for most sporting events’ senior nights
