Buick Achiever Scholarship Program This scholarship is for high school seniors or
high school graduates who are first-time college students in the fall of 2011. They
must plan to major in a course of study that focuses on STEM (Science, Technology,

US Bank Scholarship – US Bank is giving away 40 $1,000 scholarships
to students who plan to attend an eligible 4-year college or university.
To find out if the college/university you plan to attend qualifies, visit the

The 2011 CAA/ESA Youth Scholarship Program – This scholarship offers
$20,000 in funds to children of active duty law enforcement and fire
service personnel in the State of California who are graduating from
high school in 2011. There are 11 regional awards, one statewide award,
and two national awards. This program rewards students who have
excelled academically and are active in community service and extracurricular

Portuguese Historical and Cultural Society 2010 Scholarship – Six scholarships
(one $1,000 and five $500) scholarships will be awarded to students who are of
Portuguese decendency and have a 3.0 GPA. Students must submit an essay
of 300 words minimum on any subject touching on the applicant’s Portuguese
heritage (can be family anecdotes, an ethnic experience, an ancestor recalled,

The John & Freda C. Monnot Scholarship Fund – John J. & Freda C.
Monnot Scholarship – Seniors who will be graduating from Yuba or
Sutter Counties, have maintained a 3.0 GPA and plan to enroll in at least

this scholarship. Awards range from $100 to $5,000 and recipients are

ANS Incoming Freshman Scholarship – ANS Incoming Freshman Scholarships
are awarded to graduating high-school seniors who have enrolled, full-time, in
college courses and are pursuing a degree in nuclear engineering or have the intent

Region 14 of the American Iris Society Scholarship – The members of Region 14 of
the American Iris Society shall award a $500 scholarship with the intent of promoting
interest in Irises. The award shall be given to a student demonstrating interest in Iris

Association of California School Administrators (ACSA) Region 2 Colusa/ Sutter/Yuba (CSY)
Charter Scholarship – This scholarship is for any senior currently attending a high school
within the Tri-County area (Colusa, Sutter, and Yuba County) who meets the following criteria:
1) A United States Citizen 2) Committed to attend an accredited post-secondary institution
3) Demonstrates high academic/career technical education achievement

Northern California Golf Association – The Youth on Course Scholarship is open to all
northern California high school seniors who will attend a four-year college or university.
The award is both merit-based and need based and will distribute $1,000 a year for four

American Marketing Association Sacramento Valle – The AMASV Educational Foundation
will award at least a $500 to $1,500 scholarship each academic year to an outstanding
marketing, advertising, or communications student currently enrolled in an accredited
two- or four-year college or university. The purpose of this scholarship is to assist
students in educational expenses such as tuition, institutional fees, books, and
supplies. To be eligible, an applicant must be a formally declared marketing,
communications, or advertising major, have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale),
be enrolled in at least 12 academic units per quarter/semester during the year of the
scholarship award, be a student at a private or public two-year junior college or
a four-year college or university, and attend an educational institution that lies

Raymond Nelson Scholarship Fund – The scholarship amount will vary, but each award will
be at least $1,000.00. The purpose of this scholarship is to help pay for educational

State University, with a focus in Business Management and Administration, Business

The Dorothy C. Wisner TLC Scholarship Program – The Fremont-Rideout Foundation is
dedicated to the support of the Fremont-Rideout Health Group, including Fremont and
Rideout Hospitals, The Fountains, The Courtyard, the Fremont-Rideout Cancer Center
and affiliated projects and programs. The Foundation will award up to $6,000 annually
available to high school seniors who have graduated from the Fremont-Rideout Foundation

The Mark McCollum “Ride On” Scholarship – The scholarship amount will vary, but will be at
least $1,000.00 to a maximum of $2,000. Award recipients may use funds to pay for
tuition and institutional fees. In order to receive funds, a recipient must submit evidence
of full-time enrollment at an accredited educational institution. To be eligible, an applicant
must be pursuing an engineering or construction degree at Sacramento State University,
have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 , be enrolled in at least 12 academic units

Diane Dawson Memorial Scholarship – The Diane Dawson Memorial Scholarship will provide
financial assistance, in the form of scholarships, for young men and women who have a
parent or legal guardian with terminal cancer or other terminal illness, or who have lost a
parent to a terminal disease. The Diane Dawson Memorial Scholarship will assist those in
the greater Denver and Sacramento areas. Through efforts of family and friends, Diane’s
love of life, community and dedication to education lives on. The scholarship ranges from
$1,000 to $3,000. Scholarship funds may be used for educational expenses such as tuition,

The Graydon and Myrth Fox Scholarship – The scholarship amount is between $1,000 and $5,000.
Award recipients may use funds to cover educational-related expenses, including tuition, books,
institutional fees, and course related supplies. To be eligible, an applicant must be pursuing a
degree at an accredited college, university, or trade school, be a wounded Navy or Marine
Corps personnel or a surviving spouse or dependent child of a Navy or Marine Corps
personnel killed or wounded while on active duty (marriage certificate required for spouse,
birth or adoption certificate required for dependent child), deceased or wounded Navy or
Marine personnel must have been performing official military duties in a combat situation o

Benny Goodman Foundation – The scholarship amount will vary, but will be at least $1,000 - $3,500.
The scholarship will be for one year and may be renewable provided all requirements are met.
The purpose of this award is to help pay university expenses such as tuition, institutional fees,
books, educational supplies and a musical instrument if needed. To be eligible, an applicant must
be a current student attending any University of California school campus, have a grade point
average of 3.0 in music classes, be majoring in Jazz or Classical music with an emphasis in the

Civil Service Employees Insurance Company Scholarship – Are you the child of a
full-time or retired public employee (i.e., fire fighter, police officer, educator, postal
employee, military personnel, etc.)? Do you like to write? If so, CSE Insurance is
awarding $500 to $1500 scholarships based on the merit of student essays that
propose ways to reduce the accident rate among teenagers. Students must have
a 3.0 GPA and have been accepted to an accredited two- or four-year college by

will vary, but each award will be at least $2,000 and is renewable annually. The

Sunkist – The A.W. Bodine-Sunkist Memorial Scholarship – This scholars will provide
funds for undergraduates students from agricultural backgrounds who are in need of
financial assistance to further their education. Qualifying student must have a background

family must have derived the marjoity of this or her inocme form agriculture.

Iota Sigma Chapter Grant in Aid - Iota Sigma is looking for quality students with a desire to have
a career in education as a credentialed teacher or support personnel, and demonstrates
interest and knowledge in working with children and/or youth. The qualifying students
must demonstrate a past successful record, maintaining a “B” average or better. A
grant of $200 will be given in the spring to a worthy high school student meeting the

Rotary Memorial Scholastic Foundation – The Rotary Memorial Scholastic Foundation,
Inc. is a California nonprofit corporation created in 1983 under the sponsorship of the
Rotary Club of Yuba City. It was established to create a permanent scholarship
endowment fund to assist and encourage graduates of Sutter County High Schools
who have demonstrated leadership potential, scholastic ability or financial need to

Fel-Pro Automative Technicians Scholarship Programs - High school seniors who will
enroll in a full-time course of study in automotive technology at any accredited post
secondary institution in the U.S. or its possessions. Student must have been accepted
by the institution during the year for which the scholarship is given. Enrolled in a full-time
course that will not terminate prior to December 1 following granting of award. Please

The Achievement Award Program – Each year, highly qualified and community-minded
students with a proven track record of academic success, gain admission to Berkeley
but cannot afford to attend. The Achievement Award Program (TAAP) offers these
students substantial scholarship funding and support services to provide the opportunity
of a Berkeley education. The Achievement Award Program is a four-year scholarship
program for incoming freshman students and a two-year scholarship program for
incoming junior transfer students. Only incoming Cal students are eligible to apply for this

Sarah A. Bonnifield Vietnam Veterans Scholarship Fund – The scholarship amount will vary,
but will be at least $1,000. Previous scholarship recipients may reapply. Award recipients
may use funds to pay for tuition and institutional fees. In order to receive funds, a recipient
must submit evidence of full-time enrollment at an accredited educational institution. To be
eligible, an applicant must be a Vietnam Veteran or a dependent or relative of a Vietnam
Veteran (relative may be a spouse, son, daughter, grandson, granddaughter, nephew or niece),
provide a copy of the Veteran’s DD214 or submit proof of military service, and be enrolled
in at least 12 academic units per quarter/semester during the year of the scholarship award.

The Max and Nadine Dimick Scholarship – The scholarship amount will vary, but each
award will be at least $1,000.00. The purpose of this scholarship is to help pay for

The Outstanding Youth College Fund Scholarship - The scholarship amount will vary, but will
be between $250 and $2,000. Award recipients may use funds to cover living or

of Wal-Mart and Sam’s Club associates, have at least a 22 ACT or 1030 SAT
(Critical Reading + Math) score and prove financial need.
